President & Founder
William Newman
William Newman, the founder of the Omaha Metro Area Humanist Association (OMAHA), serves as the group’s President and is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and inclusive secular community in Omaha. He actively hosts OMAHA’s monthly First Friday social gatherings and Third Thursday educational events, where members engage in meaningful discussions on Humanism, ethics, and social issues.

Paula Adams
Paula Adams, Vice President of the Omaha Metro Area Humanist Association (OMAHA), brings a steady and supportive presence to the organization’s leadership team. She contributes to fostering a sense of community and inclusivity by assisting with the planning and coordination of OMAHA’s various events and initiatives.

Doris Goembel
Doris Goembel, the Secretary and Treasurer of the Omaha Metro Area Humanist Association (OMAHA), is the backbone of the organization, ensuring that all administrative tasks and finances are meticulously managed. She also leads the weekly book club discussions and keeps the board on track, driving forward the group’s mission to build a thriving humanist community.
