OMAHA is proud to be a Chartered Chapter of the American Humanist Association, an organization that has been a leading voice for Humanism in the United States for over 70 years. The AHA works to promote a progressive society where ethical living, guided by reason, empathy, and science, is embraced as a meaningful way of life—without reliance on religious beliefs. Through advocacy, education, and community-building, the AHA champions the values of being “good without a god” and supports Humanists across the country in creating a more compassionate and equitable world.

Heartland Coalition of Reason

OMAHA is a proud member of the Heartland Coalition of Reason, a collaborative network of non-theistic organizations in the Omaha Metro Area. By working together, we strive to raise the visibility of secular and Humanist values, build a stronger community, and amplify our collective impact. Through shared events, outreach efforts, and mutual support, we aim to foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment for non-theists in our region.

Council for Secular Humanism

OMAHA is an Affiliate of the Council for Secular Humanism, a leading organization in North America dedicated to fostering a secular worldview. As a not-for-profit educational organization, the Council provides resources, support, and advocacy for those who find meaning and purpose without relying on religious beliefs. By promoting critical thinking, ethical living, and a commitment to human rights, the Council helps non-religious individuals build fulfilling lives rooted in reason, compassion, and a shared commitment to progress.

Secular Coalition for America

OMAHA is an Endorsing Organization of the Secular Coalition for America, a leading advocacy group dedicated to amplifying the diverse voices of the nontheistic community across the United States. Based in Washington, D.C., the Coalition actively engages with government officials, activist partners, and the media to champion the separation of church and state and to advocate for policies that protect the rights and freedoms of secular Americans. Through lobbying efforts and strategic partnerships, they work to ensure that the perspectives and concerns of the nontheistic community are represented at the highest levels of government.

The Secular Web

OMAHA proudly supports The Secular Web, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to defending and promoting a naturalistic worldview. Established in 1995, The Secular Web has evolved into one of the most comprehensive online resources for freethought, providing a vast collection of essays, reviews, and scholarly critiques. With contributions from leading nontheistic philosophers, scientists, historians, and thinkers, the site offers valuable content for anyone interested in exploring secular perspectives, critical thinking, and evidence-based approaches to understanding the world.

National Day of Reason

OMAHA is an endorsing organization of the National Day of Reason, an annual observance held alongside the National Day of Prayer to promote reason, science, and the separation of church and state. This day aims to raise public awareness about the ongoing threats to religious liberty caused by government involvement in religious practices. It also encourages the secular community to be visible and active, demonstrating how positive change can be achieved through reason, critical thinking, and civic engagement.

Secular Policy Institute

OMAHA is a coalition partner with the Secular Policy Institute, a leading think tank that brings together thought leaders, writers, scholars, and speakers committed to advancing a secular society. The Institute works to influence public opinion and shape policies that are grounded in science, reason, and evidence rather than religious beliefs or preferences. Through research, advocacy, and public engagement, the Secular Policy Institute strives to ensure that government decisions reflect a commitment to rational, inclusive, and secular values.
